Welcome to the home of The Green Initiative Fund! (Please call us TGIF.)

We are an environmental grant program created for students, by students. Our mission is to empower undergraduate students and the Hunter community to become environmental leaders and problem solvers on campus and beyond.

Student Spotlight

Meet Mike! He is the President of the Hunter Sustainability Project and a recipient of several TGIF grants. Last year, Mike was awarded TGIF funds to install 12 new energy efficient hand dryers in restrooms in the North and West buildings. This will help Hunter reduce it carbon footprint in the long run!

This year, Mike is working on a grant to create a rooftop garden on the Hunter West terrace. Learn more about Mike's projects, and how you can get involved, here.
